Play 3-D Tic-Tac-Toe Online
Place your X or O on four stacked boards, outsmart the computer, and try to line up three in a row while keeping an eye on their moves in this 3-D twist on a classic game.
I remember playing 3-D Tic-Tac-Toe back in the day; it was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection released around 1980 by Atari, Inc. At the time, it was one of those simple but clever titles that made you rethink a familiar game, fitting right in with the kind of experimental, low-res fun you'd find on early home computers.
You control either X or O, placing your marks across four vertically stacked boards to form a straight line in any direction, not just horizontally or vertically but diagonally through the layers. The main objective is to outmaneuver the computer opponent, which often sets traps or blocks your moves with surprising foresight. The pacing is methodical, almost tense, as you rotate your perspective to check for threats or opportunities across all levels. It feels like a spatial puzzle that demands constant attention and a little bit of foresight.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
