Play 4 Nin Shougi Online
Shogi but with four players—suddenly it's less about strategy and more about watching your friends panic as their carefully laid plans collapse in total chaos.

4 Nin Shougi came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, developed by I'Max Corp. It was a late-era SNES release, one of those games that tried something different with a traditional formula. While most shogi games focused on one-on-one matches, this one threw four players into the mix, turning a quiet battle of wits into something far more unpredictable.
You control one of four shogi players, each with their own set of pieces and a corner of the board. The goal is still to capture the opponent's king, but with three other people making moves at the same time, everything gets messy fast. The game uses a turn-based system where players input moves simultaneously, then watch them play out in order. This leads to constant surprises; a piece you thought was safe gets taken before your turn even comes around. Matches can be slow and thoughtful or descend into frantic piece trades, depending on how aggressive everyone is. It feels like trying to solve a puzzle while three other people are constantly changing the pieces.
