Play A Nightmare on Elm Street on Msdos Online
Run through Elm Street as one of four teens, collect alarm clocks and coffee, and try to keep Freddy's nightmare at bay while searching for his bones to end the horror.

Monarch Development released A Nightmare on Elm Street for MS-DOS in 1989, a time when horror games were still finding their footing on home computers. It was part of that wave of licensed titles trying to capture a film's atmosphere with the limited tools of the era, relying more on tension and a core gimmick than graphical power.
You control one of four teenagers, running through a side-scrolling Elm Street, collecting alarm clocks and coffee to keep a sleep meter from depleting. If it empties, the screen distorts and Freddy Krueger's nightmare world takes over, making enemies more aggressive and the environment hostile. The main goal is to find and destroy Freddy's bones in various locations to end his reign, but the constant pressure of managing your wakefulness makes every screen methodical. It feels like a tense race against your own exhaustion, where a single mistake can spiral into a frantic struggle for survival.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
