Dig through soft earth, collect giant eggs, and avoid the volcano monster while your colorful characters brawl in this chaotic arcade-style game from 1988.

AAARGH! came out in 1988 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Binary Design. It was a product of its time, a straightforward arcade-style game that didn't try to be more than it was, fitting right in with the simple, action-focused titles of the late 80s PC gaming scene.
You control two small, colorful monsters on a single screen, tasked with digging through soft earth to collect giant eggs while avoiding harder rock. The main objective is to gather all the eggs before a timer runs out or a pursuing volcano monster catches you. The signature mechanics involve the constant, often hilarious, brawling between your two characters; they will punch and shove each other, which can ruin a careful digging strategy or accidentally save you from an enemy. The game is fast and unforgiving, demanding quick reflexes and a tolerance for chaos. It feels like trying to organize a playground fight while the ground is literally falling apart beneath your feet.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
