Achtung, Die Kurve! came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by the German studio Jรถrg Tiemann. It was a straightforward, competitive arcade game typical of the shareware scene at the time, built for quick matches and local multiplayer.
You control a colored line that moves continuously across the screen, turning with the arrow keys. The goal is to avoid colliding with walls or the trails left by any player; the last line still moving wins. Key mechanics include sharp, sudden turns that define your path, and the constant risk of boxing yourself or others in. Matches are fast and unforgiving, with rounds often ending in seconds. It feels frantic and immediate, especially with friends in the same room.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
