Action Fighter came out on the Amiga in 1986, published by Firebird Software and U.S. Gold, a port of SEGA's arcade game. It was one of those early titles that showed off what the platform could do, with smooth scrolling and a decent variety of action.
You control a rider on a motorcycle, shooting down enemy vehicles across five distinct missions. The main goal is to destroy everything in your path and reach the end before the timer runs out. A key mechanic is collecting letters to transform your vehicle; grabbing A through F lets you upgrade from the bike to a van, a car, or even a plane, each with different weapons and handling. You also grab flags for extra lives and dodge or destroy a steady stream of enemy cars, helicopters, and turrets. The game moves quickly and the difficulty ramps up noticeably, demanding sharp reflexes and smart pathing. It feels fast and chaotic, a solid challenge that keeps you focused from start to finish.
