Game Overview

Add It! was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a compilation of simple titles from the early PC era. It was a straightforward math game, the kind of educational software that often came bundled with systems or found its way onto school computers. There was no grand publisher attached; it was just a program you ran from a command prompt, a product of its time when even basic games felt like a small technological marvel.

You control nothing but your own input, typing answers to arithmetic problems that scroll up the screen. The main objective is to solve as many equations as possible before the timer runs out or the screen fills with unsolved problems. The signature mechanics are the relentless pace of incoming numbers and the immediate feedback, a sharp beep for a wrong answer. The difficulty ramps up quickly, mixing addition with subtraction and eventually multiplication, forcing you to calculate faster than you thought possible. It feels like a race against your own mental reflexes, a pure test of speed and accuracy under pressure.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
