Game Overview

Aggravation came out in 1992 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a digital version of the popular board game originally published by Atari Games. It was a straightforward adaptation for its time, fitting right in with other simple, turn-based diversions that ran well on early PCs, offering a familiar experience without much graphical fuss.

You control a set of colored marbles, rolling a die to move them from your start area along a winding path to your home base. The main objective is to get all your marbles home before your opponents, but other players can land on your pieces to send them back to the start. Key mechanics include navigating shortcuts on the board and strategically blocking paths to slow others down. The pacing is methodical, often interrupted by sudden reversals of fortune, and the computer opponents can be ruthlessly opportunistic. It feels like a tense, drawn-out family argument where every dice roll matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
