Game Overview

Remember when online multiplayer was this wild, uncharted thing? Air Warrior dropped you right into the middle of it—a clunky but ridiculously fun WWII dogfighting sim where every plane buzzing around was controlled by an actual person. And I mean actual—this was back when "logging in" meant praying your dial-up wouldn’t cut out mid-dive.

The graphics were blocky even for MS-DOS, but somehow that didn’t matter. You’d scramble into the cockpit, pick your plane (I always went for the P-51, even though the Spitfire fans swore it was better), and then suddenly you’re in this chaotic sky full of pixelated tracers and players who absolutely took it personally if you shot them down. The community was small enough that you’d recognize usernames, and oh man, the trash talk in the lobby after a match.

It wasn’t just about reflexes, either—you had to manage fuel, altitude, even your damn engine overheating if you pushed too hard. Mess up, and you’d spiral into the ocean while some guy named "AceKiller92" gloated. For something that ran on what’s basically a calculator now, it felt weirdly alive. Still one of those games where the jank was part of the charm.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
