Game Overview

Airvoxel is one of those weird little MS-DOS games that feels like it was made in someone’s basement—in the best way possible. You’re flying (or maybe floating?) through these surreal, blocky landscapes, trying not to smash into jagged geometry while synth-heavy MIDI music blares in the background. It’s got that early ‘90s vibe where the rules aren’t exactly explained, but you figure it out after a few crashes.

At first, I thought it was just a tech demo for voxel graphics, but there’s actually something weirdly hypnotic about it. The controls are janky in that nostalgic way—like playing Descent with a keyboard that’s seen better days. No tutorials, no hand-holding, just you and a world that looks like it’s made of digital LEGO bricks. If you’ve got a soft spot for obscure PC games, this one’s worth dusting off the DOS emulator for.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
