Game Overview

Aldo Again is one of those weird little MS-DOS games that somehow sticks with you. You play as Aldo, a tiny pixel dude who bounces around maze-like levels, dodging enemies and grabbing whatever power-ups he can find. It’s got that classic shareware feel—simple but surprisingly tight, with controls that just work the way you want them to.

The first time I played, I got wrecked by some floating eyeball thing almost immediately. But by level three, I was hooked—there’s something about the way the screen scrolls, the chiptune soundtrack, and the way Aldo’s little jump feels that makes it hard to quit. It’s not trying to be anything more than a solid, fast-paced platformer, and that’s exactly why it’s great. If you’ve ever wasted an afternoon on Commander Keen or the early Duke Nukem sidescrollers, this one’s right up your alley.

No tutorials, no hand-holding—just you, some weird monsters, and the satisfying blip of collecting a power-up. Perfect for when you want that raw ’90s DOS energy.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
