Some ancient god shoves itself into him to fight a resurrected Dark Ninja who kidnapped his girlfriend (classic setup, right?). The levels are these cool, varied stages like construction sites and jungles, packed with ninjas and wildlife that really don’t want you passing through.
You’ve got three lives and an energy bar that drops every time an enemy so much as brushes against you. Break open treasure chests for hearts to refill health, or sometimes spears and swords to fight back. The real prize? The Tornado icon—turn into a swirling death machine for a few glorious seconds, sucking enemies into your vortex. Just don’t forget to check the manual for the secret jumping trick, or you’ll get stuck real fast.
It’s got that classic Sega Master System charm—tough but satisfying, with Shinobi music remixes that slap harder than Alex’s ninja kicks. The bosses are no joke either, especially Hanzo at the end. You’ll probably lose a few lives figuring it all out, but hey, that’s half the fun.
