Play Alpha Waves Online
Navigate cube-shaped rooms, bounce off trampolines, and discover hidden passages in this early 3D adventure from 1990.
Alpha Waves came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Christophe de Dinechin. It was one of those early 3D games that felt experimental, a product of its time when developers were just starting to explore what was possible with polygonal environments on home computers.
You control a simple, abstract character navigating through a series of cube-shaped rooms. Your main goal is to bounce off floating trampolines to reach doorways that lead to new areas. The game offers two distinct modes: Action Mode, which challenges you to complete levels under a time limit, and Emotion Mode, which allows for relaxed, exploratory play without pressure. The physics of bouncing can be unpredictable; some springs send you soaring toward hidden passages, while others might leave you just short. It feels like solving a spatial puzzle with momentum, a quiet test of patience and timing in a minimalist world.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
