Alphawaves came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Infogrames. It was a product of its time, when developers were experimenting with abstract concepts and pushing the limits of what a game could be, often focusing on sensory experience over traditional goals.

You control a simple geometric shape, navigating through a series of abstract, wireframe labyrinths that shift and pulse with color. The main objective is to survive as long as possible while collecting orbs that appear throughout the maze, all while avoiding contact with the walls or other hazards. The game relies heavily on screen by screen exploration and demands quick reflexes to dodge obstacles that materialize without warning. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty ramps up quickly, making each session a test of concentration. It feels like being inside a living, breathing circuit board where every move counts.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
