Play Animorphs Online
You sneak around as different kids, stealing animal DNA to morph into creatures—turn into a fly to sneak past guards or smash through walls as a rhino. The old-school turn-based fights get tense when you’re scrambling to pick the right animal before getting spotted.

I picked up Animorphs for the Game Boy Color back in 2000, published by Ubi Soft. It was one of those licensed games that came out during the handheld's peak, when every cartoon or book series seemed to get a pixelated adaptation. You don't hear much about it now, but at the time it felt like a solid attempt to bring the weird, body-swapping premise of the books into a playable form.
You control a group of kids trying to stop a secret alien invasion. The main goal involves exploring areas screen by screen, finding specific animals, and acquiring their DNA so you can morph into them later. Each animal form has a unique ability; turn into a fly to access small vents, or become a tiger to claw through enemies in turn-based combat. The pacing is deliberate, with some frustrating difficulty spikes when you're low on health or morph energy. It feels like a puzzle sometimes, figuring out which form to use and when, just to survive another encounter.
