Play AntiXonix Online
Draw lines to capture parts of the screen while dodging bouncing enemies in this classic puzzle-action game.
AntiXonix came out in 1984 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Denis Auroux. It was one of those early PC games that felt right at home on a beige box monitor, a simple concept built for quick sessions between other tasks. It didn't try to be an epic; it was just a clever, contained puzzle-action hybrid that fit its era perfectly.
You control a small cursor, moving it around the screen's border to draw lines and claim sections of the playfield. Your main objective is to capture a set percentage of the screen while avoiding the bouncing Xonix enemies that patrol the open space. The core mechanics involve strategic line drawing to partition the area and the constant threat of an enemy crossing your incomplete line, which erases your progress and shrinks your safe zone. The pacing is relentless; the blobs move with a frantic, unpredictable energy that demands quick reflexes and careful planning. It feels like a tense game of territorial chicken, where every successful capture brings a sharp wave of relief.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
