Apocalypse is this frantic little helicopter shooter on the Amiga that feels like someone took Choplifter! and cranked up the chaos. You're basically a one-helicopter army, blasting through jungle strongholds to take down some dictator’s forces—tanks, patrols, even other choppers come at you. The parallax scrolling gives it this weirdly satisfying depth for a 32-color game, like you’re actually weaving between trees and enemy fire.
Oh, and there are POWs to rescue, because of course the dictator’s got prisoners. You’ll juggle between shooting everything that moves and trying not to get blown up while saving them—which is way harder than it sounds when rockets start flying. The controls take a minute to click, but once they do, it’s pure ’90s arcade adrenaline.
