Apocalypse is this wild Amiga helicopter shooter that feels like a faster, meaner version of Choplifter. You're basically a one-copter army storming some dictator's jungle stronghold—blasting tanks, dodging fire from watchtowers, and trying not to get shredded by enemy choppers. The parallax scrolling gives it this crazy sense of depth as you weave between palm trees and mountain ridges.
What I love is how frantic it gets when you're trying to rescue POWs mid-battle. You'll be lining up a strafing run on a howitzer when suddenly three hostages pop up in the crossfire. The 32-color graphics still hold up too—those explosions have this chunky, satisfying pixel punch to them. Just don't expect mercy from the enemy patrols; they'll swarm you the second you slow down.
