Apocalypse Abyss is a 1990 MS-DOS release from a small developer, Binary Illusions. It arrived during a period when dungeon crawlers were experimenting with grid based movement and turn based puzzles, and it fits squarely into that niche without much fanfare.

You control a lone adventurer descending level by level into a monster filled abyss. Your goal is to reach the bottom, fighting enemies and solving environmental puzzles along the way. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
