Game Overview

Apocalypse Abyss is one of those weird little MS-DOS puzzle games that somehow sticks with you. You play as Ashtar, the last dwarf standing after some wizard named Niche banished your whole kingdom into a dungeon called—you guessed it—the Apocalypse Abyss. The setup’s simple: grab five artifacts, save your people. But the actual levels? Brutal in that classic '90s way.

You’re pushing boulders onto switches, dodging these floating skull enemies that move in annoying patterns, and collecting gems just to open doors. The first few puzzles ease you in, but by level 5, you’re staring at the screen trying to figure out if that boulder should go left or right—and half the time, you’re wrong. The music’s this eerie synth thing that somehow makes the whole experience creepier than it should be.

It’s not revolutionary, but there’s something satisfying about the way everything clicks when you finally solve a room. Just don’t expect mercy if you mess up.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
