Play Rooms of the Abyss Online
You wake up in a shifting dungeon where doors lead to puzzles or worse—that scuttling noise means you’re already dead. Graph paper and paranoia are your best tools here.

Game Overview
Rooms of the Abyss is one of those MS-DOS games that feels like digging up a cursed artifact—equal parts fascinating and unsettling. You wake up in a dungeon with no explanation, just flickering torchlight and a maze of rooms that seem to shift when you're not looking. Some doors hide puzzles, others drop you into spike pits, and a few... well, let's just say you'll hear something scuttling in the dark before it lunges at you.
The graphics are primitive by today's standards, but that somehow makes it creepier—your imagination fills in the gaps. And the sound? A single, looping chime in empty halls, then sudden silence when something's about to go wrong. It's the kind of game where you'll scribble notes on graph paper, second-guess every lever pull, and still get ambushed by a monster you swear wasn't there last time. Not for the impatient, but weirdly satisfying when you finally crack a room's secret. Just keep a lamp nearby—playing this at midnight is a bad idea.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
