Game Overview

I remember playing Arachnophobia back in 1991, a game from BlueSky Software that came out during the early DOS era. It was one of those titles that felt right at home on a floppy disk, a straightforward action game without a lot of the graphical ambition you saw in some other releases at the time. It was based on the movie, but it had its own simple, frantic energy that made it memorable in its own way.

You control an exterminator armed with a bug zapper, moving from screen to screen in a suburban neighborhood infested with spiders. Your main goal is to clear each area of spiders before they overrun you, using your zapper to shock them or a slingshot to take them out from a distance. The spiders crawl along walls, drop from ceilings, and sometimes swarm in groups, which keeps the pressure high. The game is fast and surprisingly difficult, with a constant need to watch every corner. It feels like a messy, chaotic scramble from start to finish.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
