Play Army Men - Air Combat (En,Fr,De) Online
Pilot a mini chopper, blast plastic soldiers, rescue allies, and tackle missions in household war zones in Army Men - Air Combat on Game Boy Color.
Army Men: Air Combat came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, developed by 3DO and published by Crave Entertainment. It was part of that wave of late-era GBC games that tried to squeeze a little more action out of the hardware before the Advance arrived. The game puts you in the cockpit of a miniature helicopter, fighting through familiar household environments that have become war zones.
You control a small attack chopper, tasked with completing missions that involve destroying enemy vehicles, rescuing allies, and taking out key targets. The game uses an overhead perspective, and you maneuver through areas room by room, using your machine gun and limited supply of missiles to clear out plastic army men and their fortifications. The pacing is methodical; you have to manage your ammo and health carefully, since checkpoints are sparse and enemies respawn. It feels like a careful, slightly clunky arcade shooter that demands patience as much as reflexes.
