Arya Vaiv came out in 1994 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Dongleware Verlags GmbH. It was one of those many shareware titles that filled disks in the early 90s, a straightforward arcade-style shooter that didn't try to reinvent the wheel but offered a solid dose of action for its time.
You pilot a small, nimble ship through waves of enemy crafts and environmental obstacles across single-screen levels. Your main goal is simply to survive as long as possible, clearing screens by destroying all foes while dodging a relentless barrage of projectiles and collisions. The game relies on quick reflexes, with power-ups occasionally dropping to temporarily upgrade your firepower or provide a brief shield. The pacing is fast and unforgiving, often feeling chaotic as enemy patterns intensify. It feels like a tense, reactive dance where every small movement matters.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
