Game Overview

Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines came out for the PlayStation Portable in 2009, developed by Griptonite Games and published by Ubisoft. It was one of those PSP titles that tried to bring a console-like experience to a handheld, set right after the first game and following Altaïr's pursuit of Templars on the island of Cyprus. For its time, it felt ambitious, squeezing the parkour and stealth of the series into a smaller package.

You control Altaïr, moving through guarded towns and fortress interiors, assassinating key Templar targets. The gameplay involves free-running across rooftops, blending with crowds, and engaging in close combat with a sword and hidden blade. You collect Templar coins and flags, which can unlock bonuses in Assassin's Creed II if you connect your PSP to a PS3. The pacing is straightforward, mission to mission, with a moderate difficulty that spikes during some guard encounters. It feels like a condensed, portable version of the classic Assassin's Creed loop, simplified but still satisfying for fans on the go.
