Altaïr chases Templars across Cyprus—scale buildings, ambush guards from above, or go loud with a sword when stealth fails. The PSP’s parkour’s janky but weirdly fun once you get the rhythm.
Game Overview
Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines came out for the PlayStation Portable in 2009, developed by Griptonite Games and published by Ubisoft. It was a solid attempt to bring the console experience to a handheld, back when the PSP was still a major player. You pick up right after the first game, following Altaïr as he hunts down the last Templars on the island of Cyprus.
You control Altaïr, scaling buildings, sneaking through guarded areas, and assassinating key targets. The main goal is to eliminate the remaining Templar leaders and uncover their plans. Signature mechanics include free-running across rooftops, engaging in sword combat when stealth fails, and collecting Templar coins and flags hidden throughout the environment. The pacing is straightforward, with missions that push you from one objective to the next without much fluff, and the difficulty feels fair for a portable title. It captures the feel of being an assassin on the go, even if some movements are a bit clunky.
