I first ran into Atomino back in the early '90s, a puzzle game from Blue Byte that came bundled on one of those MS-DOS Classic Games collections. It was a time when a lot of games were experimenting with simple, abstract concepts, and this one fit right in with its clean, almost scientific approach to problem solving.

You control a cursor that picks up and rotates individual atoms, placing them on a grid to form complete molecules. The main goal is to clear the board by connecting these atoms into their required structures before the remaining pieces pile up and leave you no space to work. The mechanics are straightforward: you grab a piece, find its spot in a growing chain, and set it down. The challenge comes from the limited space and the increasing complexity of the molecules you need to form. It starts calmly but quickly demands careful planning and foresight. The whole experience feels like organizing a chaotic drawer into perfect order.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
