The controls take a second to get used to—holding the stylus feels weird at first, but after a couple races, you’re leaning into turns like a pro. And yeah, you’ll crash. A lot. But pulling off a clean jump or sliding past an opponent at the last second makes up for it. There’s a stunt mode too if you just want to mess around, though landing tricks is way harder than it looks.
It’s not the prettiest racer on the DS, but the tracks have enough shortcuts and bumps to keep things chaotic. Just don’t expect deep customization—this is all about quick, messy fun.
