Play Avatar - The Last Airbender - The Burning Earth (U)(XenoPhobia) Online
Control Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph to solve puzzles and battle Fire Nation soldiers in this action-adventure game based on the Avatar series.
I picked up Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Burning Earth for the Nintendo DS back in 2007, a game published by THQ. It was a solid attempt to bring the show's second season to the handheld, fitting right in with the era's library of action-adventure titles based on popular cartoons. You get to play through key moments from Book 2, which was a real draw for fans of the series at the time.
You control Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph, switching between them to use their unique bending or weapon skills to solve environmental puzzles and fight Fire Nation soldiers. The main goal is to progress through the story by battling across linear levels, using a combination of platforming and combat. Signature mechanics include switching characters on the fly to exploit enemy weaknesses and a cooperative mode where a second player can jump in using another DS. The pacing is straightforward, though some enemy encounters can feel repetitive. It feels like a faithful, if somewhat simple, extension of the show's world.
