B.A.T. Disk1 is one of those weird, ambitious Amiga games that throws you into a grimy cyberpunk future where you play as a galactic agent. You’re basically a space detective—except instead of just solving crimes, you’re sneaking around, talking to shady characters, and occasionally getting jumped in real-time fights where dodging actually matters.

The first thing you’ll notice is how much there is to poke at. Every location feels like a neon-lit maze of secrets, and half the fun is figuring out who to trust (hint: almost no one). The B.O.B. implant on your arm is this weird organic computer you can program—sounds gimmicky, but it actually comes in handy when you’re scrambling to prep for a fight or decode some alien tech.

Combat’s tense because you don’t just mash buttons—you’ve got a few seconds to plan before the fists (or lasers) start flying. And yeah, your stats matter, but it’s not the usual boring number grind. You’ll want to balance agility and strength unless you enjoy eating pavement in back alleys.

It’s janky in that classic ‘90s way, but if you like your sci-fi with a side of paranoia and improvisation, this one’s a trip.
