Play Backyard Basketball (Micronauts) Online
Pick a team of scrappy kids and play messy pickup games where you’ll dodge garden gnomes, bank shots off fences, and pull off ridiculous alley-oops. The tiny courts and weirdly balanced players make every match feel like backyard chaos.

Game Overview
Backyard Basketball on the DS is basically what happens when you take streetball and shrink it down to kid-sized chaos. You pick from these weirdly charming backyard players—some are tiny, some are lanky, and they all have their own goofy strengths. The controls are simple enough that you’ll be pulling off crossovers and alley-oops within minutes, but there’s a surprising amount of strategy in picking the right team.
The courts are small and packed with obstacles, so you end up bouncing passes off fences or dodging garden gnomes mid-dribble. It’s not exactly NBA Jam, but that’s the charm—it feels like playing pickup games in someone’s overgrown backyard. If you’ve got a friend with another DS, the multiplayer’s where it really shines, especially when you start figuring out which characters combo well together.
Honestly, it’s one of those games that shouldn’t work as well as it does, but the mix of arcade-style basketball and weird little details keeps it fun even when you’re losing by 20 points.
