Baldies came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by Panasonic Interactive Media. It was one of those oddball strategy titles from the era, a time when PC games were experimenting with strange concepts and offbeat humor. You don't see many games like it anymore, but back then its weird charm fit right in.

You control a disembodied hand that picks up and places little bald characters into different rooms, each color-coded for a specific purpose, like generating resources or researching bizarre weapons. Your main goal is to defend your base from hairy invaders by directing your baldies to build defenses and create outlandish armaments, including explosive cows and fireball launchers. The game plays out in real time, screen by screen, with a constant push to manage your workers, scientists, and soldiers under escalating enemy pressure. It feels frantic and silly, a mix of micro-management and cartoonish destruction that keeps you laughing even when you're overwhelmed.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
