Game Overview
Balloon Fight (PC10) is this weirdly tense little NES game where you float around with balloons strapped to your back, trying to bump into other balloon fighters. The controls feel slippery—you're constantly flapping to stay airborne, and if you stop for even a second, you start sinking toward the water below.
What sticks with me is how frantic it gets when you pop someone's balloons. They drop slowly with a parachute, and you have to dive down to finish them off before they inflate new ones. Mess that up, and suddenly they're back in the fight. The Balloon Trip mode is a nice change of pace—just dodging lightning and collecting floating balloons while the screen scrolls automatically.
It's simple, but there's something satisfying about the way Balloon Fight (PC10) turns something as silly as floating with balloons into a legitimately tense competition.
