Game Overview
Balloonz is one of those MS-DOS games that somehow sticks in your brain forever. You start with this grid of bright, bouncy balloons—red, blue, green—and the goal is simple: pop matching pairs before the whole thing stacks up to the top. But it’s sneaky. The more you clear, the faster new rows slide in from the bottom, and suddenly you’re sweating over whether to take out that cluster of yellows now or wait for a bigger combo.
The sound effects alone are weirdly satisfying—every pop has this cheerful little *plink* that makes clearing a whole chain feel like a tiny victory. And the music? Pure late-'90s PC nostalgia. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
