"Baoxiao Duobiqiu" is one of those weird little MS-DOS games that somehow hooks you even though it’s basically just dodging balls. The first time I booted it up, I thought, "That’s it?"—but five minutes later, I was hunched over my keyboard, muttering at the screen as pixelated spheres came flying at me from all directions.
It’s got that early '90s simplicity where the controls are just arrow keys, the graphics are blocky in the best way, and the only goal is survival. No power-ups, no story, just pure reflex chaos. The balls speed up unpredictably, and before long, you’re weaving through them like some kind of digital ninja. If you’ve ever lost hours to "Pong" or "Breakout," this feels like their caffeinated cousin.
Honestly, it shouldn’t be this fun, but here we are. I still fire it up when I need a quick hit of that old-school adrenaline rush.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
