Game Overview
Oh man, BarneySplat—this game was my weird little secret back in the MS-DOS days. You get this janky pixelated slingshot, and your only job is to yeet Barney the dinosaur into the sky like some kind of purple ballistic missile. No points, no levels, just the sheer joy of watching him pancake against the screen with a comically exaggerated splat noise.
The physics were ridiculous in the best way—sometimes he’d pinwheel awkwardly, other times he’d just vanish into the digital abyss. My friends and I used to take turns seeing who could make him ricochet off the edges of the screen the most before exploding. It made zero sense, and that was the whole charm. If you ever wanted to obliterate a children’s TV icon with zero consequences, this was your game.
Honestly, half the fun was just how shamelessly dumb it was. No tutorials, no upgrades—just pure, unrefined catharsis. I still fire it up sometimes when I need to laugh at something stupid.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
