Play Batman - Revenge of the Joker (Proto) Online
You're punching the same goons and dodging the same traps as the NES version, just with slightly smoother sprites—feels more like a reskin than a proper SNES upgrade.

Game Overview
Batman: Revenge of the Joker on SNES is one of those "what could’ve been" games—it was supposed to be an upgraded version of the NES original, but SunSoft canned it before release. What’s left is basically the same side-scrolling action, just with slightly nicer sprites and colors. You’re still punching goons, dodging Joker’s traps, and swinging across Gotham rooftops, but it doesn’t feel like a true SNES upgrade. Kinda rough around the edges, honestly.
If you’ve played the NES version, you’ll recognize everything—same levels, same bosses, same stiff controls. The only real difference is the graphics, and even those aren’t mind-blowing. Still, it’s a weird little piece of Batman gaming history. I wouldn’t go out of my way for it unless you’re a hardcore collector or just really curious.
