You start by slapping together a basic bot with whatever parts you have, then throw it into the arena to see how it holds up. The first few fights are messy, but you quickly learn what works and what gets wrecked.

What I like is how much the bot customization matters. A lightweight bot with saw blades might shred early opponents, but then you hit someone with a heavy armor build and suddenly your strategy falls apart. It makes you rethink your design instead of just grinding for better parts.
