Bay Route is one of those classic arcade shooters where you’re a futuristic soldier blasting through waves of terrorists—think Contra but with a bit more vertical movement. The screen scrolls automatically, so you’re always on the move, ducking behind cover or hopping between platforms to dodge bullets. Each stage ends with a fortified base packed with turrets, and you’ve gotta wipe them all out before moving on. One hit costs you a life, and with only three to start, it’s brutal but fair. The two-player mode is where it really shines—nothing like teaming up with a friend to clear a path through the chaos. It’s straightforward, but the pacing keeps you hooked.
