Play Redneck Rampage: Suckin’ Grits on Route 66 Online

Game Overview

Redneck Rampage: Suckin’ Grits on Route 66 came out in 1998 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Interplay Entertainment Corp. It was one of those games that leaned into the era's love for over-the-top shooters, with a setting that felt both ridiculous and strangely earnest. You could tell it was made for players who wanted something a little rowdier than the usual sci-fi or military fare.

You control either Bubba or Leonard, two good ol' boys armed with shotguns, dynamite, and a serious grudge against aliens and mutants. The goal is to fight your way through levels, rescue your prize-winning pig, and generally cause as much havoc as possible. The game plays out screen by screen, with exploration, key hunting, and plenty of enemy encounters. It's fast, chaotic, and often unforgiving, with health and ammo management playing a big part in survival. Playing it feels like stumbling through a bizarre, action-packed road trip where nothing makes sense and everything wants to kill you.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
