Game Overview

WWF European Rampage came out in 1992 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Ocean Software. It was a time when wrestling games were still finding their footing on home computers, and this one tried to capture the spectacle of the WWF's European tours. The roster included names like Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage, presented in that chunky, colorful pixel style typical of the era.

You pick a wrestler and fight through a series of matches across different European cities, moving screen by screen. The main goal is to win each bout and eventually claim the championship. Combat relies on basic punches, grapples, and signature moves, with a two-player tag team option adding some chaotic fun. The pacing is straightforward but the controls can feel stiff, making some matches more frustrating than exciting. It feels like a rough, earnest attempt to bring arcade-style wrestling to the PC, with all the limitations that entailed.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
