Game Overview

Alien Rampage is one of those weird, janky '90s MS-DOS platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as this hulking alien mutant thing—think a beefed-up version of the Alien xenomorph—blasting through military bases and labs with a mix of guns and melee attacks. The controls take a minute to get used to (jumping feels a little floaty), but once you adjust, it’s oddly satisfying to just tear through enemies.

Fun fact: it was supposed to be called Ravager and published by Apogee, but Softdisk ended up releasing it instead. You can kinda tell it’s a budget title—some of the level designs are repetitive, and the sound effects are… let’s say "of their time." But there’s charm in the weirdness, like how your character just shreds through soldiers with these ridiculous claw swipes. Definitely a niche pick for DOS nostalgia hunters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
