Game Overview

Redneck Rampage Rides Again: Arkansas came out in 1998 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Xatrix Entertainment. It was a time when first-person shooters were often loud, crude, and unapologetically silly, and this game fit right in with that spirit. You play as Leonard, a beer-loving redneck whose prize pig, Bessie, has been abducted by aliens. The whole thing is set in a warped, exaggerated version of rural America, filled with mutant chickens, drunk hillbillies, and other bizarre enemies.

You control Leonard through maze-like levels, clearing out enemies room by room with an arsenal of absurd weapons like a pitchfork, a dynamite crossbow, and a sawblade gun. Your main goal is to find keys, solve simple puzzles, and blast everything that moves until you rescue Bessie. The game uses a Build engine, so movement and combat feel similar to Duke Nukem 3D, but with a lot more southern charm and intentional jank. It's fast, chaotic, and often frustrating due to cheap enemy placements and obscure progression. Playing it feels like stumbling through a rowdy, unpredictable cartoon where anything can explode at any moment.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
