So, Beneath a Steel Sky—this one’s a classic. You play as Robert Foster, a guy from the wasteland (they call it The Gap) who gets dragged into Union City, this corporate-run dystopian nightmare. His only ally? A wisecracking little droid named Joey. The city’s got layers—rich folks up top, struggling people below, and a creepy AI called LINC pulling the strings. You’ll poke around, solve puzzles, and uncover some seriously messed-up secrets.

What’s cool is how alive the world feels. Characters just do their own thing—arguing, wandering, ignoring you—which was pretty wild for its time. The iPhone version smooths things out with touch controls, sharper animations (courtesy of Dave Gibbons, the guy behind Watchmen), and a hint system when you’re stuck staring at a puzzle for way too long. The soundtrack’s been cleaned up too, so those synth beats hit just right.

It’s got that gritty ‘90s adventure game vibe, but with enough polish to feel fresh. If you like your sci-fi with a side of sarcasm and conspiracy, this one’s a no-brainer.
