Game Overview

Bio Metal on SNES is one of those shooters that grabs you by the collar and doesn’t let go. Right from the start, you’re thrown into this neon-soaked chaos where enemy bullets fill the screen and your ship’s weapons feel almost too powerful—until you realize you’ll need every last bit of firepower. The soundtrack? Pure early '90s electronic energy, thanks to 2 Unlimited’s involvement. It’s the kind of game where you’ll dodge a wall of lasers, counter with a spread shot that lights up half the screen, and then immediately wonder how you’re still alive.

It’s got that classic arcade shmup feel but with a speed that makes Gradius look slow. The first time I played, I got wrecked in about 30 seconds, but something about the way explosions ripple across the screen kept pulling me back. If you’re into retro shooters that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a blast—just don’t expect mercy.
