Game Overview

Okay, so this is that Sailor Moon beat 'em up for the SNES—the one that never made it outside Japan. You play as the whole Sailor team (Moon, Mercury, Mars, etc.), punching and kicking your way through waves of Queen Beryl’s goons. The sprites are surprisingly detailed for an SNES game, and there’s something weirdly satisfying about watching Usagi’s pigtails bounce while she dropkicks a Youma.

It’s not super deep—just walk right and mash buttons—but the special moves feel great once you figure them out (hold down, then up + attack for Moon’s tiara throw). The music’s full of that classic 90s anime synth, and the stages even throw in little references to the show. Definitely more fun with two players, though good luck convincing a friend to play as Jupiter.

It’s a solid pick if you’re into retro anime games or just want to wreck monsters as Sailor Moon.
