Game Overview

Blades of Steel is that classic Game Boy hockey game where you just drop in and play—no stats to manage, no team tweaking, just straight-up arcade action. You can go solo against the computer or grab a friend for some head-to-head chaos. Single-player mode lets you jump into a quick match or go all-in with a tournament.

The best part? Fights break out randomly, and suddenly you're in this little punch-up minigame. Win, and your opponent gets tossed in the penalty box; lose, and well... enjoy your timeout. The ref eventually steps in if you brawl too long, and yeah, he’ll call icing too (because apparently, even pixelated hockey has rules). There’s even some hilariously rough digitized voice clips yelling stuff like "Fight!"—it’s janky in the best way.

It’s simple, fast, and exactly what you’d want from a portable hockey game in the ‘90s.
