Game Overview

Remember Blades of Steel? That old MS-DOS hockey game where checking someone into the boards felt as good as scoring? Konami nailed it back then—this wasn’t some fancy simulation, just pure arcade chaos. You’d zip down the ice with these little pixelated players, slap a shot top shelf, and then suddenly you’re mashing buttons to throw punches mid-game because, well, of course there were fights.

The music’s still stuck in my head—those crunchy 8-bit riffs between periods. And the controls? Simple enough that you could grab a friend who’d never played and they’d be body-slamming you within minutes. No power-ups, no season modes, just straight-up hockey with enough attitude to make it feel alive. Still holds up if you’re into that raw, fast-paced nostalgia.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
