Dodging giant scythes and rewinding time mid-combo, this PSP fighter throws you into wild anime brawls where every character plays completely different—just don’t expect to find many online matches now.
Game Overview
BlazBlue - Continuum Shift II on PSP is one of those fighters that hooks you with its flashy, fluid animations before you even throw your first punch. The characters all have this over-the-top anime style—like, one guy fights with a giant scythe while another basically controls time—and they all feel wildly different to play. At first, I kept mashing buttons, but the combat’s got way more depth than it seems, with crazy combos and unique mechanics for each fighter.
Story mode’s surprisingly beefy for a portable fighter, with branching paths and some legitimately funny dialogue (if you’re into anime tropes). And yeah, you can take fights online, though good luck finding matches these days. Mostly, I just loved unlocking all the extra colors and grinding arcade mode with friends. It’s the kind of game where you lose an hour just labbing combos in training without realizing it.
Definitely one of the better fighting games the PSP ever got.
