Bob the Builder: Fix It Fun! is one of those weirdly charming Game Boy Color games where you’re basically running around doing odd jobs for everyone. The picnic’s coming up, and of course, everything’s falling apart—roof tiles are missing, Spud’s hoarding packages, and someone’s gotta feed that cat before it starts yowling.

You switch between Bob’s crew, each with their own little platforming challenge. Roley’s flattening roads, Lofty’s rescuing ducklings (why are they always near water?), and Dizzy’s chasing apples like it’s some kind of fruit emergency. Meanwhile, Bob’s stuck playing fetch with the entire town—lost music sheets, stolen parcels, you name it.

The mini-games are simple but just tricky enough to make you reset a few times, especially on hard mode where everything’s hidden better. And yeah, of course Scoop shows up last to haul picnic supplies because no one thought to pack earlier. It’s janky in that old licensed-game way, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about fixing a digital fence before lunch.
