Bonanza Brothers came out for the Sega Genesis in 1990, developed and published by Sega. It was one of those quirky co-op games that felt right at home on the system, offering something a little different from the usual platformers and shooters of the time.

You control either Mobo or Robo, two thieves tasked with stealing specific items from a series of heavily guarded buildings. The game plays out screen by screen; you move through rooms, avoiding guards and security devices like spotlights and cameras. You can stun guards temporarily by shooting them with your suction cup gun, but if you're spotted for too long, alarms go off and reinforcements swarm the area. The pacing is methodical, almost puzzle-like, as you figure out patrol patterns and the safest route to each target. It feels tense and silly in equal measure, especially when playing with a friend and your plans fall apart completely.
